A calendar full of thrilling events

There's always something happening in Sarasota! From boat shows to the annual chalk festival or the exhilarating boat race, your calendar will be packed with exciting activities that will keep you entertained all year round.

A place that comes alive

Step into a world where every visit is an adventure. Whether you're exploring Sarasota's exhibits or enjoying one of the lively events, there's never a dull moment here.

The neighboring communities are also adding to Sarasota's flavor. The St. Armands Key provides the St. Armands Circle. Sarasota residents can enjoy international cuisine and exciting shopping opportunities there, and the Key is only a few minutes away.

  • Do you care about a laid-back atmosphere? Anna Maria is close. Beautiful beaches and excellent little restaurants and bars invite everybody who wants to relax and enjoy the island living for a day – or a few hours. Don't go dressed up - only shirts, shorts, and flip-flops are required.
  • The rated #1 beach is on Siesta Key, another paradise at Sarasota's doorstep. Every day, Sarasota's residents can dig their toes in the white sand of that extraordinary barrier island.
  • Once you look like a Main Lobster after his boiling session, you can ease your pain in the Village of Siesta Key. You can buy sunscreen and an ice-cold drink in the village.
  • In the village, you will find an extensive selection of Bars and restaurants, many of which have live music.
  • Captains offer cruises and fishing trips at Marina Jack's; however, if you want to be in command of your own ship, Rental boats are also available.
  • A wide range of golf courses cater to every golfer's preferences. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Sun Coast as you tee off on meticulously designed private, semi-private, or public courses with stunning views and lush landscapes.
  • But don't expect Golf Courses on the barrier islands. Only Longboat Key, the Venice Isle, and Gasparilla Island have one, the other islands have no courses because they have no space.

Sarasota is successfully converting Visitors to Residents

Visitors planning to move here permanently may soon recognize that the cards are stacked in their favor. The cost of living is not excessively higher compared to other regions of the US. If somebody is willing to skip Sarasota and go further south, he will find out that living expenses are usually worse in those communities. Most of the time, people who try out Naples or Bonita get a sticker shock. Real Estate is expensive in that area.

Real Estate South County is more affordable
Home prices in South County (Venice, Englewood, North Port) are the most affordable on Florida's Suncoast. But don't get us wrong, there is still no such thing as a three-bedroom condo with an "ocean view" for $200k. We are in the year 2023 and prices went up like everywhere in the United States.

Sarasota is adding more and more International Residents
Thousands of national and international visitors explore the area every year, leaving imprints of millions of toes in the beautiful white sand. The next tide washes away most marks, but some are renewed every day because a remarkable number of visitors decide to stay for a longer time (as "snowbirds) ... or for good.
